From LinkedIn: Questions About My Unsigned NDA

JSI

This post was originally posted on LinkedIn.

JSI offered me approximately $45,000 in continued salary and benefits to sign a separation agreement that would have prevented me from speaking out in the way I have over the past week. That document has been attached to this post.***

It's important to remember that the presence of an agreement like this does not, on its own, mean that JSI did anything wrong — nor does it prove that their claims against me are false. I do think it raises certain questions, though:

🚩 If I was terminated for performance and behavioral issues, why was I offered a separation agreement and salary/benefit package?

🚩 Are agreements like this standard practice at JSI?

🚩 Is JSI’s Board aware of these agreements?

🚩 Who approves separation agreements like this, and on what basis?

🚩 How are these agreements paid for?

More soon.

*** The attached document was JSI’s initial offer, sent shortly after I was terminated. Their final offer, which I did not feel comfortable agreeing to, included what I would describe as “minor” concessions.
